General Osteopathic Techniques, Lemniscate & F0

€1,500
Jan 31 - Feb 3, 2023
9am to 5pm, Dominican Republic

GOT, Lemniscate, & F0 are all techniques that double as diagnostic tests. If you are looking to understand and treat the body as a whole, this would be the class to take.

GOT are ordered, coordinated sequences of long lever joint treatment techniques that also allow for evaluation of surrounding structures. The goal is to mobilize the joints, relax the surrounding soft tissue specific sequence of joint techniques with diagnostic and therapeutic purposes involving the entire body.

Guy VOYER, DO has added the concept of the lemniscate to the GOT treatments for more fluidity and working with the liquid not just in joints but in the visceral spaces, supra-peritoneal, peritoneal and pelvic.

The course is open to osteopaths, chiropractors, physiotherapists, manual/massage therapists, athletic trainers, and elite performance coaches.

Learn directly from the master himself. Guy VOYER, DO teaches precise techniques rooted in deep knowledge of fascial relational anatomy and tensegritive biomechanics. Over 40 years of dissections, clinical work, and patient treatments worldwide, prove VOYER's techniques and instruction invaluable. He successfully treats world-class athletes with the same techniques he teaches today. Learn manual therapy techniques used to normalize and enhance athletic performance in the NHL, NBA, NFL, MLB, PGA ATP, and UFC.

Course Description

General Osteopathic Techniques (GOT):

GOT is an ordered and coordinated sequence of joint techniques over time, allowing for the diagnosis and treatment of spinal and peripheral areas of restriction through joint mobilization and soft tissue relaxation.

The parameters of the 3 Rs (Routine, Rhythm and Rotation) are attached to it. The practitioner observes at all times the concept of globality--essential to osteopathy.

LEMNISCATE:

The lemniscate shows that energy flows cross in opposite directions. Often represented as a "figure 8" shape (Bernoulli) For Heraclitus (ancient Greek philosopher), everything comes about through conflict: each thing is driven by its opposite. But behind this appearance of conflict lies harmony, for there is in reality only one and the same energy flow.

The lemniscate movement is made in relation to three joints, that is to say one joint and the joints above and below it. There is therefore a center and two extremities, i.e. a single articular lemniscate.

The interosseous or intrinsic bone lemniscate corresponds to the Primary Respiratory Motion (PRM) specific to each bone. It is made in relation to the distal and proximal ends of two bones. There are therefore two lemniscates one in relation to the other, i.e. 4 ends.

In practice the lemniscate movement is always working in contralateral movement. In this course VOYER will show how to use the lemniscate for volumetric normalization and diagnosis.

F0 & PRM Listening:

In agreement with Jean Claude Guimberteau, all the fibers respond to the local stress by immediately adopting the most suitable dynamic solution, soliciting the collagenous structure in local compression, varying the vacuolar forms, compressing the volumes, explaining the resistance felt, which is progressive and increasing over time, and evoking a relationship between the density of the fibers responding to stress and the resistance felt.

The palpatory approach will be different depending on whether one wants to listen to or touch the tissues.

Numerous learning exercises and tests will help to master this approach.

Summary:

GOT, Lemniscate, & F0 are all techniques that double as diagnostic tests. If you are looking to understand the body globally and the fascial links, this would be the class to take.

GOT is an ordered, coordinated sequence of long lever joint treatment techniques that allow for evaluation of surrounding structures.

A great way to evaluate not only the targeted joint but viscera in link. For example, performing GOT at the thoracic cage the practitioner can feel what is happening at the lateral part of the mediastinum, liver, gallbladder, etc.

These techniques will help diagnostically to evaluate not just the adjusting structure but surrounding structures. GOT is a way to assess and evaluate structures that are in the general area using the fluidic systems that capsules and fluid needs to move through a given container. Beneficial diagnostically and therapeutically.

The course is open to chiropractors, physiotherapists, manual/massage therapists, athletic trainers, and elite performance coaches.
